I'm aware that the 'Sportsman' model is slightly smaller than the standard 91mm knives. Will the mini screwdriver fit into the corkscrew even though it's a smaller size? Will you also be able to close the smaller corkscrew if you do manage to put in a mini screwdriver?

Yup, I believe all the corkscrews are standardised, even in the smaller knives, so the mini screwdriver should definitely be able to fit just the same. You will still be able to close the smaller corkscrew if you manage to put in the mini screwdriver.
